Pullmantur Cruises is a Madrid based operator that had its origins in 1971 as a land based tour operator.
It started the cruising arm of its business in the 1990s when it chartered the SeaWind Crown from Premier Cruises. The collapse of Premier Cruises resulted in Pullmantur Cruises deciding to purchase its own ship. This followed a period of significant growth for the company, which resulted in quite a number of ships being added to its fleet.
Today, it owns a fleet of six cruise ships named Empress, Ocean Dream, Zenith, Sovereign, Pacific Dream, and Bleu De France. Pullmantur holds a dominant position in the cruising market as the largest cruise operator in Spain. It also has business operations in air land based tourism activities, operating as Pullmantur Air and Caribbean tours.
In 1996, its parent company Celebrity Cruises was acquired by Royal Caribbean International, it's first venture into the European and Latin American cruising market. The Royal Caribbean International also operates cruises under the flagship names of Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises and TUI Cruises under a joint venture.
Pullmantur Cruises specializes in offering seven night cruise itineraries to destinations such as Mexico, Portugal, Baltic, Brazil, the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Onshore excursions are organized to locations such as the Mayan Caribbean, Egypt, and Morocco. The cruise packages that are offered by Pullmantur are usually inclusive of flights, transfers and cruise costs.
Job Opportunities at Pullmantur Cruises
