V.Ships Leisure to Manage Aurora Expeditions’ New Ship
V.Ships Leisure has been chosen to take care of technical management, crew operations, and port logistics for Aurora Expeditions’ brand-new ship, the Douglas Mawson.
The vessel has just been delivered from SunStone in China and will soon head to Antarctica to join sister ships Sylvia Earle and Greg Mortimer.
The Douglas Mawson is the seventh and final Infinity-class ship built by SunStone. Per Bjorsen, CEO of V.Ships Leisure, said the company is excited to welcome another expedition vessel and to support Aurora Expeditions as it continues to grow.

From its offices in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale, V.Ships will handle everything from the ship’s technical systems to crew management and port services. The company already manages vessels for Swan Hellenic, Quark, Ponant, Silversea, and recently Marella, making this another strong addition to its expedition cruise portfolio.
