Hotel / Hospitality Manager

The hotel manager is responsible for ensuring a high quality service in the accommodation and catering departments onboard cruise ships. Also deals with passenger complaints.

Previous hotel management experience is usually required. Salaries range from $4000 to $4800 per month.

Receptionist

Responsible for passengers' check-in and checkout in the accommodation area, including settling accounts at the end of the cruise. Receptionists also handle passengers' complaints, lost luggage, room changes, currency exchange etc.

Previous experience from hotels or resorts is required. Salaries range from $1800 to $2400 per month.

Chief Cabin Steward / Housekeeper

The chief cabin steward is responsible for supervising the housekeeping department. Good organisation and communication skills are required. Salaries range from $3400 to $4000 per month.

Head Room Steward

Responsible for supervising a group of cabin stewardesses. Previous experience in housekeeping is a benefit. Salaries range from $2000 to $2600 per month.

Cabin Stewardess

Cabin stewardesses are responsible for keeping passengers' cabins clean and tidy. Duties include vacuuming, changing sheets, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms etc.

Cabin stewardesses spend most of the day working on their own. They do not have much opportunity for shore excursions.

No previous experience is required. Salaries range from $1400 to $2200 per month.

Laundry Supervisor

Responsible for supervising laundry staff and the smooth operation of the department. Salaries range from $1400 to $2000 per month.

Laundry Staff

Duties of the laundry staff include collection of items as well as washing, drying and ironing. No previous experience is required. Salaries range from $1000 to $1400 per month.

Bell Man

The bell man transfers passengers' luggage to and from cruise ships. A good physical condition is a must. Salaries range from $1300 to $1600 per month.

Bell Boy

Carries out room service requests. No previous experience is required. Salaries range from $1000 to $1600 per month.

Deck Steward

Responsible for keeping deck areas and pools clean. No previous experience is required. Salaries range from $1100 to $1400 per month.
