Cruise Line to allow passengers to select the destination of the ship
Forget the captain, Fred Olsen Cruise Lines is launching a 'You Choose The Next Port of Call' voyage.
Passengers on board the Braemar will be given two destination choices every 48 hours and will be asked to vote.
The first choice offered will ask passengers to decide whether the ship makes for Vigo in Spain or Leixoes in Portugal.
Then choices after that will encompass a variety of Iberian ports of call, with guests choosing between Malaga and Gibraltar, Barcelona or the Costa Brava city of Palamós, Andalucian Cadiz or Portimão, in Portugal.
They will then decide their final port - Galician city of Ferrol in Spain or La Coruna - before heading back to Southampton, UK.
The so-called 'curiosity cruise' will depart for the first time on October 10, 2015.
A spokesman for Fred Olsen, said:
'This incredibly exciting and innovative cruise gives our guests the chance to "steer the ship"!
'We are always striving to offer our guests a special cruise experience and I think that I can say with some confidence that this is certainly a very different type of holiday.'
